Skala Kefalonia

Skala is the largest resort in the south of the island, and is probably the most popular with visitors to the Kefalonia.

It has an excellent beach surrounded by pine trees. Sunbeds are available on the beach in summer month for about 6 to 8 euros for 2 beds and a brolly, water sports are available and bookable on the beach.

The village has a large selection of quality restaurants and tavernas. It has enough to eat in a different one every night if you are there for 2 weeks

Skala has the usual collection of supermarkets, gift shops, bars, and car rental. Many of these are located on the main street, but the village is small so have a look round there are many shops hidden off the main street.

There is also a small park for children in the centre of the village and a new one just off the square at the bottom of main street. Also several telephones. There are 2 bank machine's in Skala one by the CBR office and another in the Venue Bar both on the main street.

Buses run to Poros and Argostoli several times a day and there are plenty of taxis in the village.

Although there are many apartments and studios to let in Skala make sure you book in advance during the main summer months.

Please be aware their is a naturist beach at Skala off the main beach. If you face the sea it is to the right through the rocks.
