Katelios is a small fishing village located near to the resort of Skala at the south end of the Island. It has a small harbour, a couple of beaches. The beach in the village is about 200 to 300 metres long and has a backdrop of pine trees and rose bushes. Another beach is nearby and only a few minutes walk. Katelios has several good restaurants over looking the sea and they are renowned for the quality of the fresh fish they serve.

Katelios also has the usual gift shops, mini markets, and car rental. The village does have a telephone which you need a card for available at most shops and kiosks.

Accommodation in Katelios is typically Greek but are well looked after and clean. Be aware that Katelios is well spread out and you may have a good walk to the village from your accommodation. A few do have pools and bars.

Nightlife in Katelios is quite and usually just consists of having a meal and visiting a few bars. No discos.
