Kefalonia is becoming one of the most popular destinations for travellers to Greece. It is the largest of the Ionian Island and possibly the greenest.

The Island has a large selection of excellent beaches with beautiful golden sands and turquoise blue seas.

From small secluded beaches that are only accessible by boat to large sandy beaches 3 to 4 km long you will find something to suit your needs.

A few like Skala have a good selection of water sports available Agia Efimia and Argostoli have dive centre's for the more adventurous. Boat hire is also available in most resorts.

The best way to see Kefalonia is by car the Island is filled with picturesque villages and places of interest.

From underground lakes and caves to unspoiled villages like Assos and Fiskardo there is plenty to see..

The Island also has a National Park, on Mount Ainos, Kefalonia's highest mountain which grow a rare specie of fir and terrific landscape with wild horses. It is only recommended you go high up by car if you have a 4x4.
